Post Secrets (8 secrets)

There are 8 secrets under the cut. This is my first attempt at participating in the Post Secret Challenge and I'm not much of one for image manipulations. All the base pictures were gathered from various websites through a google search (and then searching within the search to find the right pictures). Be gentle with my somewhat cliched attempts?

Images are relatively work-safe, if somewhat odd and possibly disturbing...

I always thought Ronon must have done or been something completely different from a soldier before the Wraith attacked his planet. He seems just a little too well adjusted after spending seven years on the run to have been a career military officer. But then again, that argument can be used in reverse as well.

I don't remember the name of the fic I had read, but there was a story that had Carson changing the retroviruse to strip away the human DNA and only leave the Iratus DNA in it's place. It was just a short piece, but it was disturbing and shivery worthy and I can't for the life of me find the link. but it was that one that inspired the card.

Gripping haunting and a force to them all. Each have such an unquestionable truth that echoes from and through.

Love all eight but both of John's have a power that drives into the mind and send a shiver through one's spine. Ronon's has always been my belief of the character, To survive as he has it's taken far more than the mind of a lone solider.

The one for John with the bullets took forever to do. Most of those bullets actually have names written on them in minature - at least until I ran out of character names and couldn't make up anymore.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who believes that Ronon was something different, something more, than just a solider. The show doesn't offer near enough on his background (somewhat understandable) and it calls it into question that way.

These are visually captivating. I think my favourites are Carson's and Elizabeth's cards. Also, I find Elizabeth's secret intriguing, and would love to see a story to go with it.

I'm glad that you liked them. Elizabeth's came from a fic I have collecting dust on my hard drive. It's a character study piece that sort of fell apart on me.

I didn't see very many PS for Chaya on during the original Post Secret Challenge, and when I stummbled across that picture I knew it would be hers. Glad you liked those ones though!
