Oh, I loved this. It's so wonderful, the expressions are perfect and I adore the inserts. In the ep, I thought John was saying his father considered Stanford an acceptable level of rebellion and he had done something way beyond that, like maybe being gay or joining the military -- but your interpretation does make excellent fodder for humor and you milked it beautifully.

But, um, I think you meant "internment" (prison) instead of "interment" (burial). Burial would be pretty funny too, but it doesn't really fit the picture.
