ADMIN: The Gods and Monsters Challenge

This is really to fulfill 3 requests in one. The challenge title comes from fiercelydreamed, who asked for,

"Stories about gods, stories about monsters; stories about how blurry the line can be between the two. Stories about religion and mythology and superstition and bogeymen; stories about aging gay film directors and their heterosexual gardeners-- sorry, don't know where that last one came from; stories about the Ancients and the Wraith and which role each species fits and for whom ... There are a lot of way to take this and run in really interesting directions.

dr_dredd also requested a "Monsters" challenge, noting that, "It could be taken literally (Wraith, Asurans), or about the evil that some men do. What makes a monster?" And of course Halloween is coming up, and we had some requests for that.

So: Gods and Monsters.

Today's October 20th; this challenge will be open until November 3 at midnight eastern.

While watching "The Seed" recently (shut up, I live in Kazakhstan) Rodney's line about "the b-team" struck me. So, maybe in line with lim's suggestion, could we do a B-Team Challenge? What happens when John, Rodney, Teyla, Ronon and our other heroes are out of commission and down for the count? Who else gets to step in and save the day?
