So I finally got to listen to this, and I love how it's not just one story but at least three instead. Every character felt very real and human in this, even and particularly the poor king. Such a marvellous thing to listen to.

I love it! I love that there's storytelling in the story, and I love how it fits the Gods and Monsters challenge, and Rodney's voice, and John's with the iratus phobia and the queen, resigned and dignified in her pain, resolute, and everything. Great story, great reading, great everything!

oof. That's the sound that came out of my mouth at the end of this one. I always feel, though I'm probably wrong, that there aren't that many fics dealing with the fallout from McKay and Mrs Miller, and this one is so angsty and well written (and read). It's so good!
