Actually, I'm working on a story right now that mentions Katie - all the way back to the first part of S2. Nice take on the challenge - blue eyes and red hair. And I'm sure you'd get a fair few fans who'd actually welcome Katie back at this point. ;)

I remember Katie well and thought her gentleness and calmness was a good counterpoint for Rodney's manic/hyper/frantic - ness. SGA writers...*sigh...we won't go there.

Oh, lovely secret!! The baby is adorable (and I don't normally go gooey over babies, I think I lost my maternal instinct a few years ago!). Rodney would freak!!

I liked Katie though I didn't think it would last, and I do like Jennifer and Rodney together (again, not sure it will last, though I think Jennifer stands a better chance than Katie did).

I actually had an idea where Katie didn't tell Rodney about their baby, and then she dies and Rodney is contacted by (whoever) about his child!! Oh, and somehow baby ends up on Atlantis with him (and Keller, who stands by him, as does his team of course!). It was too shippy for me to consider writing (I'd mess it up, trust me) but it could be intriguing!!

I didn't think Katie/Rodney had much long-term potential (he'll never love anyone as much as physics and Atlantis and John), but I never thought it was eye-scratchingly awful, either. I could really buy Rodney being in love with her.
