Title: MVP (74k) Author: Speranza Pairing: Sheppard/McKay Postcard: here Summary: "All right, all right, nothing to see here," he heard Sheppard say. "You've seen one giant snake, you've seen 'em all."
What a hero complex he has *G* I see John very much as the kind of guy who would do well in charge of a small team, but the burden of a full command (and all the paperwork!) has got to suck. Same for O'Neill, the life was sucked out of him in that SGC desk job, I thought. John was made for rushing around, doing things, going far and fast and high - and people are so bowled over by that approach that they forget to look below the surface and realise that there is so much more to him.
Heh, I actually only meant everything you've written in *SGA* 'cause I'm that great rarity, a monogamous fangirl (!) but I'm sure there's lots of that too and it will keep me happily occupied for years myself; I don't read very often, to be honest, and I like to take the cream of the crop so as not to waste time ;)
Ahhh, an Americanism, hadn't heard of that term before. Thanks! I'd wondered if it was military parlance. Makes sense for John to use that *G*
