Title: Pictures for Jeannie
Author:
friendshipper
Word Count: n/a (pictures)
Rating: rated G, and gen
Spoilers: mild ones for McKay & Mrs Miller, Return
Summary: Teyla wants to share her galaxy with Jeannie through photographs. The boys want to get hit with large sticks, apparently.
Notes: This is a sequel to my earlier story Postcards to Jeannie. If you haven't read that one, all you really need to know is that Jeannie and Teyla become pen pals post-M&MM.
Because this story is so image intensive, it begins here at sga_flashfic and then continues offsite, to avoid overloading people's browsers.

Date: 2007-07-14 08:39 pm (UTC)I've been wanting to do a sequel to "Postcards" for some time, but had trouble coming up with an idea, until this challenge knocked something loose.
It took me awhile to come up with a way for Ronon to contribute, because I didn't think he'd be writing comments on the pages in John and Rodney fashion. Now I want to write more about his latent art talent. *g*

Date: 2007-07-14 09:10 pm (UTC)As was said above, I love the way you wrote Teyla's voice. It was just so, Teyla. Serious, but at the same time had her sense of humour when she is laughing at her teammates which we usually get from the looks she gives on the show.
John & Rodney were just, so John & Rodney, what can you say? But Ronon's contributions were. Surprising but not surprising? It was a great addition.
Also I really loved the way Jeannie re-acted to the package at first, I wasn't expecting it. But it was lovely. That and, just the fact that Rodney hadn't even called. At first it's a question of, they're talking again why hasn't he, but he would've been so caught up in everything.
Also, that's your driveway? Colour me jealous.
Anyways, I really enjoyed this if you couldn't tell.

Date: 2007-07-17 12:44 am (UTC)Yeah, I'm thinking that Rodney would have taken awhile to get back in touch with Jeannie on Earth, because he's just so ... so Rodney, and he'd probably wait around for her to call even though she didn't even know he was back. But I figure that eventually they would have gotten in touch.
Thanks for the comment!

Date: 2007-07-14 10:00 pm (UTC)I loved all the pics you used (I can't believe that purple plant is real), and the small drawings - especially the one with Atlantis and the whales.

Date: 2007-07-17 12:47 am (UTC)I had fun with the little doodles...
The purple tree isn't really purple, but the reddish-purple plant on the left side of the page -- yes, it really looks like that! I thought it could easily stand in for an alien tree...
