“Oh no, what did you touch?”
Rodney moves into Sheppard’s quarters and picks up the small red fox cowering in a corner. He’s seen some amazing things in the Pegasus Galaxy but this has to top them all. He holds the fox up at eye level, the thing trembling in his hands and can’t help but grin. “Wow, still looks like you.”
“What are you doing?”
Rodney lets out a high-pitched squeak and spins around, spotting Sheppard leaning against the frame of his doorway, one eyebrow raised. He spots the fox Rodney is holding and grins. “Oh good, you found it. Doctor Johnstone was having a coronary.”
“Oh, ah… yes,” Rodney agrees, nodding quickly and handing over the small animal when John holds out his arms. “Just what I was looking for.”
John is almost out of the room when he turns, fox tucked into his shoulder. “You thought this was me, didn’t you?” John accuses with a laugh in his voice.
“Don’t be ridiculous,” Rodney huffs.
